OK, good news and bad news. I have been talking with the manufacturer, and I
can do an order straightaway, but the bad news is that because of the
flagging US dollar hurting their margin on US sales (the greater part of
their business), they have increased the per unit price a fair bit
[including tax, it has increased $0.86, but I can take a bit of a hit and
increase my cost on this order by only $0.65/unit, for a total landed-cost
of $5.65/flat, including shipping (based on an order of a minimum of 300
units...the price would drop by a few pennies a unit on larger orders due to
shipping costs.)]. As well, they have had some problems with the harvest of
smaller mysids affecting the overall production, so I may be only able to
get a single case of 113 graded-small mysid flats this time.
Let me know how this affects things on your end.

I am still proceeding with the order...naturally if you buy it locally the new price will be also higher. I will be purchasing 200 units and I have received advance payment on about 65 and the rest will be up for grabs.
