Thanks for the help. Its begining to sound as though its just a crap shoot on how any of these fish behave. I am going to get a Royal Gramma for sure, and I think I will try a few (3-5 ???) of the Chromis. If they are as inexpensive as damsels usually are, I won't be too concerned if they do scrap with each other. the fish I allready have should be able to look out for themselves. Would a pair of cardinals as well as the chromis be too much? Of course I wouldn't add them all at once. The Gramma first then either the cardinals or the chromis. I only have a small QT tank so I can't hold too many newcommers in it anyway.
