My experience with green chromis is that they are generally peaceful with other fish, but tend to fight each other. I started with 5 chromis and ended up with 2, all due to fighting each other. The only time I saw schooling behaviour was when they were stressed, usually when just added to the tank or I was sticking my hand in for one reason or other.
I have a Bangai and he is very peaceful but not afraid to go for food which apparently can be an issue with these guys.
I got my two 6-lines as juveniles and they are fine. I think they have gone after my hermits and snails on occasion, but I'm not sure they were hunting or if the snail or crab were already in trouble.
