the only reson i am building a custom sump out of acrilic is becouse my stand is too low for a 33gal tank (which i actually have sitting in my house not being used)
. if that was not the case than i would have used the 33gal for the sump and my 10gal for the fuge.
but since the stand can not be replaced without a huge hassle, i have decided to build a custome sump/fuge out of acrilic.
i can make a 30gal sump/fuge out of one piece of 1/4" 4X8' acrilic which will cost about $115-120. i will also have a bunch left over to make DIY skimmer.
i have all the tools i need to do this and i love to build stuff as well, so i am quite looking forword to this project.
