Thanks Ian - yea we were considering treatment options - but all of the options would put her in pain and would only give her a year max - just don't think it would be fair to her. I would rather give her 6 months of running in the fields and woods than a year of pain sitting on the couch.

I don't have experience with this specific type of cancer. I know that some years ago our family had a beagle that was diagnosed with a terminal liver cancer. He was given a few months, and we were told by the vet that this type of cancer would basically not cause pain but rather fatigue and he would probably end up dieing in his sleep. He ended up living another 2 years but in a progressively worse state. I know I wish that we had helped him go gentle into that good night a long time before it finally happened. So as long as your pal is seems well enjoy their company and let them enjoy their life. Just be brave when it becomes obvious that they're suffering.
