Definitely, if it's at all possible with the design of your stand I would recommend that you ventilate it. Keeping the humidity down in there will be much healthier for your electrical devices (corrosion) and will prevent any mold growth etc.

My suggestion would be to hit the computer store and pick up a nice quiet 120mm or so PC case fan, then rob a 12v DC power brick from one of your old electronic devices that you're no longer using and use that to power the fan. Cheap and quiet airflow. Of course you will need to create a way for the air to escape as well after it's pumped into the cabinet by the fan.

As I'm typing this I see that HaZRaTTy just said pretty much the same thing! Well I'll 2nd what they said then.
