That's what biopellets are made up of. So, basically, these are just bigger chucks of biopellets* which can be used in mesh bags. I would say it is convenient for nano tanks
And saves on the reactor.
*Reasons:
1. Both are made of biodegradable polymers
2. The bio-cubes have to be placed near a skimmer
