My engineers and plumbers are going to see the Big ALS tank in the next few days to start looking at viability studies, we have sourced 2 15 inch black reef tip sharks, that will set up home with a moray eels and some "colourful fishes" looking at some angels (large) and some triggers to fill in the spaces.
Heard the sump and filtration is a little on the bogus side, so looking at a 300-400 gallon tank that I fill fill with various sponges and sock filters, I will change them out weekly, also going to fill o tank filling system, by adding a 100 gallon salt mixing station, I should be able to pump clean water straight into the tank and the sump discharge excess water into the drain, if this works I can in theory do 100 gallons a week, weigh the salt, fill the 100 gallons RODI and turn on a power head to mix it up, then just turn on a tap to start the "water change" and refill the mixing station when it's emptied.
Quick question - would it help if I filled some of the sump with live rock and a generous cuc ? I really want to keep the water clean, especially with the sharks in the tank.
