I agree. Age isn't everything, stability is. Typically stability comes with age but, then again, I've seen a lot of tanks that that are old but are as stable as the stock market. I have a 14G biocube (with LEDs) that has zero filtration other than water changes and it is growing SPS as fast (if not faster) than my 2 year old 50G SPS tank and with better colours to boot. Oh, and that little tank is less than 4 months old!
