yah I looked in to black ich, and it's nothing like any of the pictures or descriptions of that that I've seen. The spot on his pectoral fin is much bigger and more irregular than the one on his tail, it literally looks like little pieces of charcoal are stuck to his fin, they protrude like a wart.
