 If you are serious about reducing humidity, then an HRV is the only way to go. My HRV easily keeps humidity under control even with a 300g tank. There are lots of other secondary benifits with the fresh air exchange as well, throughout the house and in the tank room. For example, I never have to worry about elevated CO2 levels reducing the tank pH. 
 That said, if humidity is not a big problem and you just want to take some moisture out of the air, then a dehumidifier is a whole heck of a lot cheaper and doesn't require you to rip apart your furnace ducting.
