The owner of the dog could have been a little old lady who thought she was being nice to the dog by feeding it whenever it begged her to do so. Sure the dog is ridiculously unhealthy but unless I knew that the person was overfeeding to be cruel or as a joke I wouldn't be after people's heads without knowing the facts. Some people really don't know what is too fat or skinny, anorexic people think they look fat all the time, they have mental issues. I've seen lots of fat fish on Canreef but no one cares. |
Ignorance shouldn't be an excuse. If someone can't take the time to learn about an animals requirements, they shouldn't have animals. Animal ownership should be a privilege, not a right.
