Usually when it comes to pumps, you're better off buying new. You may save a few bucks upfront, but you dont know what the pump has been through and how it was handled. Especially the Vortech pumps, since them not being installed properly can lead to excess wear and tear which is hard to see on the outside. Should it fail prematurely, you're looking at spending more dough to get a new one. Ultimately, you could end up spending more money.

Considering all that, the price difference is not so bad. Go new. Order one from JL, and they'd be happy to ship it out to you
