Well this week I finally start on my skimmer. With my stand hopefully to be done this week I figured I better get started on my skimmer so I can get it up and running.
Nothing great yet, but here's some pics of the material so far:
6" dia cast tubing, which is 20" long. I figure I'll cut it at 14" (for the riser) and leave 6" for the collection cup (or is that too big?). The smaller tube is 3" dia extruded, which is about 12" long. I may leave it just like that, with 3" in the collection cup (or is that too long?).
Other stuff is some 6-1/2" Orings, and some 1/2" and 5/8" peices that will be used for various stuff
. I'll be running a 584 mazzei injector with a Mag5. We'll see how that works, and if needed, will increase the pump. I'm trying to see if I can get away from using a big pump on the skimmer.
