Yeah, nothing wrong with taking a break, that's why offices have water coolers, and people go for coffee. Brain (and muscles) can get tired, and a break can make you more productive when you get back at it. I also believe in a little celebration once in a while, if you accomplished something good, and that's another good reason for a little break.
But boredom, especially if it is persistent, is a real problem, and I would be looking hard at what I am doing. Life is too short to waste.
