I stood in line and sent Hubby and our little guy to wander the dinosaur exhibit. The line actually moved a lot faster than the signs indicated, as there were a lot of strollers and wagons that were taking up room. I was lined up a little past the 1.5 hour marker, and stood in line for about 45 minutes. We were there as soon as it opened. Within two hours there was barely a line. I guess everyone planned to beat the rush.
It is a nicely done exhibit. It is quite small, but it is open air. They have four different species of penguin, and a couple of them are really interesting. The King penguins almost look like inner tubes in a way: very round and very buoyant. Some of the penguins (Rockhoppers) are like little torpedoes or missiles under the water. They've got interesting yellow plumage . . . They almost resemble the "Predator" in a way.
I enjoyed it. I wish we could have spent more time in there, but our three-year-old is always looking forward to his next discovery and became impatient.
