Lesson learned ....
I tried to modify a Ranco controller
The instructions state to
not try to solder wires to the main board. Well, I'm stubborn.
I tried, and it failed.
I figured that I know enough about mainboards and wiring and such, having some knowledge with wiring, I figured I'd take a stab at it.
I have no idea what went wrong, and I did not heat the board up too much, so, now I have a dead controller for sale

I just ordered a new one online with a bulb well.
I spent $50 on this one, then spent $40 to have a new sensor shipped with a thermal well on it, now I cooked the board.
Wheeeee

Nothing like throwing money away
