When you click on the culture link it tells you to increase your cyber cafes but like I say I've got 6, still takes so long to get the culture points, I must be doing something wrong.
I don't think you'll loose all your destroyers but if you send one like I did against a planet with a starbase you'll loose the destroyer for sure, 50/50 you'll loose your destoyers if you send 2. If you send 3 destroyers you've got a 75% chance of getting the planet but you'll probably loose 1 destoyer.

I sent 4 Destroyers and 4 Transports ( 1 transport for each level of pop on the planet ) ... the unknown planet had a starbase level of 2 and in the end I lost 2 destroyers ... but I got a SU, +5 experience points and my Science went up to +25/hr
