I just launched 4 destroyers against a planet where the owner hasn't yet logged on, planet started about the same time I did so I'm guessing they wont log on.
When you click on the culture link it tells you to increase your cyber cafes but like I say I've got 6, still takes so long to get the culture points, I must be doing something wrong.
I don't think you'll loose all your destroyers but if you send one like I did against a planet with a starbase you'll loose the destroyer for sure, 50/50 you'll loose your destoyers if you send 2. If you send 3 destroyers you've got a 75% chance of getting the planet but you'll probably loose 1 destoyer.
