Very happy for you. As we stated in the other thread, if you have the tank where you are and can enjoy it (as well as maintain it), then its best to keep everything. If you have to commute to visit your tank and do maintenance, that is not a good long-term solution and will eventually become a huge PITA.
Glad you're able to set up the new tank in the basement. Keep up with the maintenance and your bro-in-law will probably LOVE having a reef tank in his place to show off while you get to pay for everything and maintain it
