The problem is that it doesn't really matter, they will hike it, we will pay it. As a country, we are one of civil obedience... Nothing like what you are seeing on the other side of the globe, where people are fighting for injustices and freedom.

But again, do we really have anything to fight against, overall I can say I am happy and FREE!
I now step down from the soap box, and start getting pelted with rocks. OUCH!!!
EDIT: And in regards to legalizing POT, NO WAY!!!! There are already too many dummies behind the wheel, even with illegal drugs, so making it legal just makes it worse. I myself am against this. Give it time, they will make cigarretes illegal, or add smoking to the distracted driving laws. HEHE.
As others stated, if you can't afford the hikes, then it is time to change your habits. I personally don't care what it costs for what I choose to do, if I can afford it then fine, if not, then guess what... I don't get to do it. Just wait, one day there will be a tax for the air you breath, for having kids/family, and so on.
