I stopped using my hand pipe cutters after getting addicted to using the chopsaw for pipes. Cleanest cuts EVAH! ..... Not so clean on the floor however. The explosion of PVC sawdust however does make for some amusing moments when your spouse discovers WTH you're doing with the chopsaw. On an unrelated note my hobbies are still permanently banished to the basement.
