Bubble King is the caddy of skimmers, but pricey. But if price doesn't matter get that.

I have tried a few, and I keep going back to my Hydor 1000 Skimmer. I think Big Al's actually has it cheap now, about $600. Well worth it, very quite and it is a 3 pump system. One pump for the feeding of water, and the other 2 are for recirc. Handles my heavy bioload without issue.

Also, Hydor has great service. My pumps were getting slight noise due to use. The impellers probably, but been runnin gor over 3 years. Called Hydor up and they sent me 2 new impellors for ABSOLUTELY FREE! So now those are in, and the others are on the shelf as backup. That is great service, and what they do, just call them up if new impellers are needed.

I would by Hydor again!
