We went hog-wild (on our quite tight budget) on lighting this weekend. Dear husband made a quick and dirty hood so we could see the lighting in action before committing to more bulbs.
We now have 150w (incandescent equivalent) on our 10g:
- 4 x Aqueaon 50/50 10w CF (each equivalent to 25w incandescent)
- 2 x Globe LED MAX 5000k 4w household bulbs from Rona (bought for 15% off yesterday
, each equivalent to 25w incandescent)
The light colour is not as blue as I'd like, but the white is quite cool. Will be starting a tank journal I suspect where I can post videos
