Yup. Only a few are real protestors/activists. The others are not sure what they're protesting this week or next. Drug overdoses are a good way to get the public on your side
When interviewed, some could not articulate what they are protesting for or against. If they don't know or care enough to know, then why should the general public? These "professional" protestors really hurt the cause (whatever cause it is) since they turn off the public and any real message gets lost in the static.
