You need to have your LEDs behind an acrylic shield. That goes for any kind of LED fixture the salt will damage the LEDs and especially the heatsink if its not shielded the heatsinks in use for LEDs these days typically are not anodized, they are just raw aluminium so they need protecting.

Optionally you can go further and cover the connectors with silicone.
