If you googled it, then you also know that they are very picky eaters and considered to be somewhat of an advanced fish to care for.
If this is in fact the fish you purchased, then you have made a few mistakes here. The first mistake was buying a fish without knowing anything about it, including it's name. The second mistake was dealing with a fish store that clearly cares more about profit than promoting responsibility within this hobby.

Honestly, you should take this fish back and ask for a refund. Just print off the care sheet for this species and when the guy asks why you are returning the fish, hand him the care sheet and just say "really?" with as much sarcasam as you can manage. you might add "why would you sell me this fish?"
