Now thats only if you don't want the lab to perform any interpolation. But to take that file size and make it 36x24 the results would be very poor. Even with a negative (135) it's hard to get a 36X24 enlargement to look good.

yup but for wall art and pics depending on how far away you look at it from you can get away with 250 DPI. you could make a nice looking 8X10 from your camera Jamie. I did a 11 x 14 pic off my camera and I was very impressed with the output. also for poster making there is another process that makes it so when they are that big it looks good from say 10 foot away and even deicent from 5 foot but not from 1 foot away.
