I've had my fair share of crusty fish on the floor
Personally I think everyone should have a mesh cover over their tanks. Any fish can jump at any time. Tangs, angels, gobies, clowns. I've heard of all manner of fish go to the great beyond. If you think about it, in the wild they usually have A LOT of head room to play with if they feel like darting straight up for whatever reason. In our tanks they aren't afforded that luxury no matter how tall we may think our tanks are, they are but puddles compared to the ocean.
