Actually Snappy they are not even made by the same company. They are both made in Isreal, they both use the same base NaCl from evaporated sea water from the red sea but thats where the similarities stop.

They have different ingredients added back into the salt and in different ratios. This is why Royal nature is better ionically ballanced and does not have the same precipitation issues as other brands.

They both use different mixer. While other companies use a large mixer that mixes up tonnes of salt at one time and also introduces heat during the mixing process (which changes the composition of the mix), Royal Nature has a small mixer to ensure their salt is always perfectly mixed in each bucket for more consistent parameters. Also Royal Natures mixer is a different type of mixer that does not introduce heat during the mixing process (I know Ron told us the type but the name alludes me at the moment).

Its not available yet but on the next container of Royal Nature we worked closely with Ron to introduce a new bucket numbering system. Royal Nature is already testing every batch of salt that they produce so now each bucket will be numbered and all the batch test results will be available. We are not sure yet how we will make this data available yet but we have a bit of time still

If the Canreef forum users are interested I can ask Ron if he can visit the forum.
