Well the set up is so that one hole on the tank bottom will have a stand pipe in it that leads the water down to your sump. The other bottom hole is for your return line from the sump back to your tank. A pipe from this second hole will go up to your top hole of the overflow and back out to your tank. I have the same config. on my 90g but what I did was use a durso stand pipe in one of the bottom holes and then used the second bottom hole as an emergency back up stand pipe leading to the sump in the event that my main stand pipe got plugged. I then directed the return water from my pump in the sump to the tank via flex pvc and a few 90 degree elbows that hang on the rim of the tank and plugged the top hole on the overflow as I did not use it. The advantage for me is that my overflow is in one corner and I could put my return line in the other corner of the tank so it would help push the water in the tank towards the overflow. Is my set up completely silent? No but it is pretty quiet considering my stand is completely open. I used a Durso stand pipe in my set up and you can read up on it at dursostandpipes.com. There are other methods but this is my only experience and it has worked well for me on 3 tanks so far.
