I rinsed the sand from two tanks that had been sitting a month in pails and my tank still cycled in 3 weeks.
As long as you don't plan to add anything the next day you should be fine. If it is all new sand.... it'll be a piece of cake anyhow... I never even rinsed my new sand.... dropped it right in. It'll settle on its own in a few days if you don't just dump the water at will.

thats pretty much the plan im just doing a quick rinse to wash out any of the crud that might of dried in....its from my 180g , the rest ill let my tank take care of.....theres no plans of anylivestock untill a proper cycle is done and then ill be moving my livestock from their small tanks and letting the take equal out before i think about adding to my livestock again
