Next time you do a skimmer cleaning take apart the pump and check the magnet on the impeller. Sedra's are one of the kind where the heat of constant use causes them to swell up and eventually they lose their shape from being a perfect cylinder to something that bulges out a little making it a tiny bit egg shaped. If you notice any deformities you'll have your answer. Luckily they do sell replacement impellers. I noticed I got about 18 months out of an impeller when I had Sedra pumps in use.
