Yes, dwarf zosterae need live food.
Most people feed bbs but for best survival rates it's best to decap the cysts, hatch them out, then grow them out for another day, and then enrich them for two 12 hours sessions with new water and enrichment for the second session.
More industrious keepers raise other pod forms to augment the nutrition as well.
