Default can coral beautys (beauties?) get lateral line disease?

Never really thought about it, I thought it was mostly restricted to tangs but I'm fishsitting for Poontang and his coral beauty is looking a little funky in the head. Its hard to tell, the fish is pretty timid and only pops out for a few seconds at a time. Between the eyes in the "forehead" area the skin is discolored and kind of mottled, its like that on the side of the fish near the eye as well. There is also a pale stripe following the "lateral line" from the front to back of the fish.

I'll try to get some pics today or tomorrow if I can but just wondering. I've never had a coral beauty and this one is pretty fat and "healthy" looking other than the head issue. I could very well just be paranoid as this is the first time I've looked after someone elses tank.

Thanks
