It would probably do fine in a 35 gallon. Although mine is in a 120gal I only have a thin 1" sandbed for it to feed from yet I've had the cucumber for about 4 years now. So as long as you have a mature decent size sandbed I dont see a problem. I dont know when I'll be down to Vancouver again. It might take several months.
