Over the years I have found it to be more luck or should I say right time and place for certain shapes of rock.
However I do know that Vanuatu and Jarkarta shipments do almost always contain some very nice flat pieces
Like I said above, you should plan to be around the store when the shipments come in if your looking for a particular shape or size
