Hello,

I think it's more of a western propaganda. I watched Avatar in China and the movie has been available in both 3D and 2D versions for quite some time. It's just time for other movies to rotate in. There are all sorts of western movies here. Can't expect every single one of them to be screened in addition the the local Asian flavors. Likewise, I can't imagine all of the Asian movies also being screened in Canada either.

The moves of the local population in cities are called for. Some of the cities are extremely outdated and the buildings outlived. Absolutely nothing compared to what you'd see in Canada in terms of standards. So when it comes to massive rebuilt, then it's time to be rebuilt.

However, yes corruption with the local officials have caused unrest because people aren't being fairly compensated for. But then again, this is also happening in HK with the recent China-HK railway project. An entire village needs to re-locate because otherwise the railway needs to make a detour.

Most of the government agendas are fine. It's the local corruption that's causing problems. And there has been a huge crack down earlier on.

Titus
