I have mine sitting on a mouse pad and the plumbing is the clear flexi hose so any kind of vibration might be absorbed. When the stand door is closed I don't hear much of it.
Sorry to hear yours is a bit loud...
Honestly mine is one of the smaller contributers to the "tank noise" phenomenon I have going... the fans are the worst.
