The problem was, was that I wasn't sure which fish was nipping the lionfish's fins. Everytime I watched the tank all the fish would ingor the lionfish (even when I watched from a distance) so I didn't know who was being mean to him, but obviously someone was because his fins kept getting more nipped up each day. It might of been my Toby puffer as they are known to be fin nippers, but it's hard to say when you don't see it happening. Also Doo was willing to take the lionfish on short notice so it just worked out better that way.
I have to agree though, it sucks when fish are mean, my king angel is in that tank and she is the meanest fish I have ever seen. It's very tricky to find tank mates that will be safe in my fowlr tank.
FYI for everyone wondering about the blenny as far as I know there has been no sign of him in Gordon's (Steve's Dad) tank. Either he is hiding really well (which is possible, it's a 80g tank with a lot of rock in it) or the hawkfish killed him

Wish I would of known that the hawkfish was going to pick on the blenny before I gave him to Gordon.
