Actually, a prism is just an object that has the same cross-section along a length, so in this case it is a
rectangular prism. In fact, we can generalize them and refer to them as cuboid (a box-shaped object). It has six flat sides and all angles are right angles. And all of its faces are rectangles. There also exists square prisms when two of the lengths are equal, but even those can be classified as rectangular prisms.

Well, all cubes are rectangular, but not all rectangles are cubic.
