Christy, I didn't have the barnacle glued to anything yet so the barnacle keeps getting moved around or knocked over. This blenny didn't have a suitable barnacle. Maybe that's why it commited suicide?
They're amazingly fast and agile. You get to see that during feeding time. They dart out of their barnacle to the surface to get food and then dart back in within milliseconds. You blink and you'll miss it.
