I have (had) a tiger cowry in the sump of my 40g setup. It was sumped because it went predatory on the carpets and did a fair bit of damage to them before I figured out it was the cowry causing the carpets their injuries night after night.
Anyhow I found it sucked into the skimmer intake last night. I thought it had died because it was hanging out of the shell, and I waited a good half hour to see any signs of life and there were none. I was going to toss it but then thought, well, you know, it's actually a really pretty shell. I should let the shrimp and worms go at it and save me the yucky task of cleaning the shell. So I tossed it into the display tank.
Guess who wasn't dead????? Great, I have no idea where he's gotten to, and now he's loose in the tank back with the carpets.
Yay.. a miracle of resurrection. But ah, yeah. FRACK.
