Sorry, I'm quite technically challenged. It took being on the board for about 6 months before figuring out how to post pictures.

1. When you make a new post there's a 'smilies' box to the right of your message box. Click on one of those smilies or enter the code manually with : biggrin : <-- without the spaces in between ":" and "biggrin". You say you click on the icon but nothing appears ? That is weird.
In fact, when you click on those smilies the code will appear in your message window where your cursor was (where you were typing).
2. You have to go to your very first post of the thread (post #1) and edit that post, then click on the "Go Advanced" option. That will bring up the post to edit with the title available for editing.
3. At the top of your edit window (when making a post), one of the icons looks like a globe with a link/figure 8/paperclip under it. 3 icons left of the link that allows you to link in an image? With your mouse/cursor, select some word(s) that you would like to be your link, then click on that link icon (the globe with the funny paperclip thing under it. A dialog box will appear allowing you to enter a web address. Once you're done [ URL ] tags will surround the word(s) that will be your
