I don't personally own one of these, but have read other forums/threads with similar issues. In your case it sure sounds like a power supply problem which may not be that difficult to fix. You just need to determine where the power supply is, what its specs are and you may just be able to find a suitable substitute locally in an electronics outlet or some place similar. In the end the fixture simply consists of a ton of LEDs which are essentially low voltage DC devices. Try an internet search for Solaris power supply issues & I'm sure you'll find something.
