You did a good job landscaping the tank.
Start adding one fish per month a few weeks after your tank has cycled so as not to upset the biological requirements. Ya I know, but patience is very important in this hobby to avoid problems.
Look at species you like that can be accommodated in your tank.
Avoid species that are bottom dwellers until there are enough organisms in the sand to accommodate their needs.
Check out wetwebmedia.com to find out about species related concerns and ask here and make informed decisions. Buy Robert Fenner's book, The Conscientious Aquarist
When you are buying make sure you SEE the fishing eating at the lfs before you buy.
There are many small easy to keep small fish. The choice is yours.
Start visiting a lfs and see which fish you like, read up on them, ask questions and than buy.
