Slick Fork is on a distinguished road
Default Well that was close

Sometimes murphy gets you, sometimes you duck a big one. That's how we felt last night. Came home from work yesterday and realized something was wrong when I could see my breath in house. After a little checking I realized the power was out. Raced down to the basement to check on the tank while my wife called the power company, stuck a finger in the water and wow was it ever cold. Stuck a thermometer in it, 12 thats right TWELVE degrees celcius (about 50-55 degrees for all you fahrenheiters). So obviously the power had been out for quite some time. If I had to guess I would put it around noon as I had a show scheduled for the pvr that never got recorded

My wife gets off the phone and enmax can have someone out to fix the power in about an hour and a half. I run out to get the generator I bought from crappy tire for just such an occasion and I can't even get the piece of garbage to light up, not even 6 hours on the thing and it's doing this so we light a fire in the wood burning stove (which is fortunately just 10 feet from the tank) and hope for the best.

Enmax comes, power goes back on and tonight you wouldn't ever know anything happened. All the fish are fine, not even any real browning with the coral. Sometimes you just get lucky I guess.
