Does anybody have well insulated cooler or an extra small empty tank (around 20 Gal) I could borrow to hold a few things?
Is it better to transfer the senstive things to other people's tanks or to set up a temp tank here using the existing water, but with no filtration or lights. Things like the blue starfish, mandrin, regal tang, anenomes, sea cucumbers, frogspawn, shrimp, urchins.....
Do you think if I put the live rock into a cooler with some water for a couple of weeks it will be ok? How should I store the live sand to best save the worms and stuff I have? Is it ok to pile the sand on top of each other in a verticle container or should I try and keep the sand to about 3-4 inches to minimize the lost of life?
I'm also going to need to find temporary homes for my freshwater fish (clownloaches, chiclids, tetras, fighting fish).
I have to move all my tanks into the garage so that they can replace the carpets. Unfortunately it is not insulated and the temperature will fluxtuate quite a bit in there. I dont' have anywhere else to put them. I'm not sure how long this will take. It migt take a week or two by the time they can put the carpet in. I also think I may need a new stand. My stand is made from particleboard and it got quite wet. .
Thanks for all your help and suggestions
