How do we know thats not the normal progression of his tank and it would not have looked like that anyways?
As I have the baby sister tank
, to Mike,s and see his on a daily basis almost and think about using your products on my 20g, {soon to be 30g}, sps tank, I wonder about the way a tank would look and not look if certain products and equipment are used or not.
Of course, one will never know but its something I have always wondered when reading articles on various methods of running a reef tank.
