Well meaning co-workers bought a betta fish for me as a Christmas gift to keep in my office. It is currently in the care of a co-worker until the office re-opens. Supposedly it is in a 3 gallon tank with artificial plants, some rock and substrate. I am hoping to get well informed during the holiday break so I can look after this fish well.

I've done a google search and so far have not found any "Canreef" equivalent quality sites.
